  • Often used in wind turbine industry to test converters, generators, gearboxes and complete nacelles

Since its foundation, PowerCon has specialized in electric power conversion, including developing customer-specific test equipment, highly targeted at the wind turbine industry. Born out of the world-renowned Danish wind power industry, PowerCon has delivered test benches and other test equipment to multinational conglomerates like Vestas and Siemens Gamesa as well as international companies like KK Wind Solutions who we continue to have long-standing business relationships with to this day.

Development and production of test equipment continues to be a core skill of PowerCon’s expertise. PowerCon is known throughout the industry for bringing the latest innovation to any given project while being flexible enough to think outside the box in order to come up with the most cost-effective solution possible. Our test equipment is often used for mass-production lines of generators and converters, helping to ensure end-product quality assurance.

When the development phase is completed, the verification phase is important to validate the design margins. Our experience within this field is one of the key elements to achieve trustworthy and fast results. To verify the quality of each product, we also develop and manufacture production test equipment, ensuring that products leaving the factory complies with the latest requirements and expected quality.

PowerCon’s test equipment is often used for verification purposes or production burn-in tests. The end-goal is thereby to ensure reliability and robustness as many of the tested products are placed in harsh environments, for example offshore wind turbines. PowerCon therefore has a deep understanding of developing equipment and products that are reliable and of the highest quality, yet still compact, flexible, and high-performing in nature.
